Ironline Command asks you to think like a logistics officer, not just a general. Battles are won long before the shooting starts, by controlling roads, guarding supply depots, and picking your ground. It's slower and more thoughtful than most mobile strategy, and it's better for it.
The touch controls are clever. You draw movement paths with a finger and pinch to zoom across the battlefield, and the interface stays readable even during a chaotic push. The campaign teaches its systems patiently, then trusts you to combine them.
The AI is the star here. It probes for weak spots and punishes over-extension, so every mission feels like a real conversation. Skirmish mode kept us coming back long after the campaign ended.
