Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the kind of mobile RPG we hoped someone would make. It runs on a classic turn-based combat system where positioning and elemental weaknesses matter, but it wraps that in a story with actual weight. Party members bicker, change their minds, and sometimes leave, and the writing earns those moments.
Progression is layered without being overwhelming. You level characters, slot runes into gear, and unlock class branches that meaningfully change how someone fights. We spent a happy evening just re-speccing our healer into a battle mage. There's grind, but it's optional; the main path respects your time.
The one caveat is that the early hours are slow. Push past the first two chapters and the game opens up in a way that's hard to put down.
