Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a mood piece first and a puzzle game second. You explore a foggy coastal town, tapping to examine objects and piecing together what happened to the people who used to live there. The art is hand-painted and gorgeous, and the sound design does a lot of the storytelling.

Puzzles are logical and grounded in the world, so you rarely feel stuck for the wrong reasons. When you do get lost, a gentle hint system nudges you along without spoiling the answer. It respects your intelligence.

We finished it in two sittings and thought about the ending for days. That's rare for a mobile game.
